Campsites in Brecon
Brecon, a market town set within the northern confines of the Beacon Beacons and the start of the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal which runs for 35 miles to Pontnewydd near Cwmbran. The Canal basin just a short walk from the town centre is a popular spot for a snack ad a drink while watching the barges. The town has a selection of shops, supermarkets, pubs and hotels and is a popular tourist centre that can get very busy at times.

Brecon is well served with camping and caravan parks thoughout the area as this is one of the major centres for this outdoor activity for those visiting the Brecon Beacons. Further campsites can be found in Abergavenny and in Merthyr Tydfyl. Brecon town, though small contains a couple of camping supply shops for accessories and essentials, and two supermarkets.
